U21 Hurling Preview: Kinvara v Cois Fharraige, Sat 29th March in Castlegar 3:30pm. David Hubans charges face a stern test at the weekend in this years U21 B Hurling Championship. Cois Fharraige will be the opposition on Saturday in Castlegar at 3:30pm, with a place in the quarter-finals for the winner. Kinvara had to dig deep and work hard to scrape past the challenge of Padraig Pearses in Round 1. Although we were behind by 6 points at one stage, the lads never panicked and battled away to win by two. Cois Fharraige (an amalgamation of Barna-Furbo, Ml Breathnach and Spiddal) proved their worth in round 1 as they defeated a very fancied Liam Mellows side. That win was probably the surprise of Round 1, and shows the great work being done west of the Corrib. Last year they actually reached the U21B Final but lost, and are no doubt aiming to go the extra step this year. So, a tough test ahead for Kinvara. We will be entering this match as underdogs, and will have to play to our full potential and beyond to win this one.
