UAAP Basketball 24/7 REPORT!!!!! ** Two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player awardee Bobby Ray Parks Jr. of National University, who could have been a possible first overall pick in the coming PBA draft, is not turning pro. He also will not play his final year as a Bulldog in next year’s UAAP basketball tournament. He instead might stay in the US for an unspecified period of time and take his chance at the NBA. In a surprising development, the hugely talented son former import Bobby Parks, is not joining the draft because of a technicality. He is underage. Parks will continue to play for the Bulldogs in the coming months. The NU team will play in an invitational tournament in Guam on Oct. 22-28. He will also play for the BDO-NU in the PBA D-League next month, and for the National Team in the Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar in December. After his graduation in March, Parks will leave for the US to train. While there, Parks will try to try out for the NBA.
