The National Youth Commission proudly announces the fifteen (15) finalists to the NYC Bonifacio Astig! Youtube Video Rap Contest selected by the National Organizing Committee. Tatak ng Katipunero by Armel Abarracoso, Darren Pitos, Arvie Basco, Mikka Gulla and Kathleen Paraguya A distinguished panel of judges will choose the Top ten (10) winners including the three Grand Winners to receive 30,000 Pesos courtesy of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), the Special Citations and Runners-up. The judges include musician Buddy Zabala of the Eraserheads; Historian Michael “Xiao” Chua; NHCP Executive Director Ludovico Badoy; Office of Hon. Sen. Bam Aquino’s Chief-of-Staff Ms. Georg Nava; NYC Commissioner and NOC Chair Perci Cendaña; NYC Chair and CEO Leon G. Flores III; SM’s Youth and Children Committee Head Roy Cabuñag; student judge Tetay Mendoza; and Bonifacio descendant Atty. Gary Bonifacio. The awarding ceremony is on November 29, 2013 at 6 o’clock in the evening at the SM San Lazaro in Manila. The Top Ten Winners will be performing their piece during the awarding.
