UG KOp 6-Manchester United Fans In uganda 1 its always very difficult to take in the pain of loosing against the scousers, more so in such a humiliating manner. however,as pertains this match, its much more than the result that i would like us to disect. for starters: THE TURN UP-its important to note that we received communication on short notice, calls were made, posts were wide spread, the response was promising. on match day,a few players turned plus a handful of fans!!!! mcuh as i am so grateful to all those who showed up,i wasnt satisfied with the numbers!~! 4000 members in the group and we fail to hit atleast 50+members present! going forward this has to change. THE DISPLAY. on the day we lost to UG KOP,but, the result doesnt reflect on the display on the field.we played almost the entire game with 2 men down, not because they had been sent off but because our players just chose not to turn up,and those who did were too early for our next encounter, but we didnt freak out,we stood our ground and lasted the 90mins. GOING FORWARD. its important to note that we didnt lose because they were the better team but we lost because they were a far more organised side.we need to dedicate time, find a location where we can always meet every weekend, for practice and bonding,United is a family. our first outing as the red army wasnt the worst though left a lot to be desired,we can turn all this around. RETURN LEG. UG KOP hosted us on 16th march 2014,however,its a two leg affair. we have to prepare for the return leg as hosts.views and suggestions are very much welcome.
