UHURU/ RUTO want to ARREST me next week so that I don’t campaign for MUTULA KILONZO Jnr - MUTHAMA Sunday July 21, 2013 - Machakos Senator, Johnstone Muthama, has sensationally stated that he will not be intimidated by the Jubilee Government when fighting for reforms in the key institutions of the Government. Speaking during the unveiling of CORD’s candidate for Makueni by- election, Mutula Kilonzo jnr, on Saturday at Unoa grounds, Muthama claimed that the authorities wanted him arrested over alleged hate speech so that he did not campaign for Mutula Jnr. He said such threats will not intimidate him or cow him saying he is seasoned reformer and a politician who has the support of majority of Kenyans. “Jubilee wants to intimidate me to stop campaigning for Wiper in this election. I want to tell them that I am ready to die or go to jail for the sake of Kamba community and Kilonzo to win this seat,” tough talking Muthama said. Muthama, who is commonly referred as “loose cannon” said he and former Vice President, Kalonzo Musyoka, are grooming young politicians like Mutula Kilonzo junior, to take the mantle of leadership because they are ageing. He also exuded confidence that Wiper candidate will win the Makueni Senate seat with a landslide. The by-election is slated for July 26th.
