UKRAINE: A Russian aid convoy crossed the border into eastern Ukraine on Friday, August 22, to deliver humanitarian aid to Luhansk and Donetsk. The convoy comprising 260 trucks was stalled on the Russian side of the border for over a week waiting for the go ahead from Kiev, which was never given. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said it was not escorting the convoy as no security guarantee was given by Kiev. The BBC reported the trucks were instead accompanied by pro-Russian gunmen. This video is embeddable: Front.TV via Facebook Contact Front.TV via Facebook for other usage requests
