UKRAINE : Tomorrow and the day after will mark the Historic Days for Ukrainians At an EU meet Scheduled tomorrow and day after at Vilnius, Lithuania, Ukarine shall ditch the European Union (EU), by refusing to Join the Free markets of European Union, and instead shall announce to join the Russian Commonwealth Union. So far most of the eastern block was eager to join European Union, but this time, Ukraine will refuse to Join EU. While EU is eyeing the strong market of 50 million people in Ukraine, and at the same time the all important NATO access to the Black sea, the mishandling of a delicate Diplomacy by the EU will cost it dear. Their arm twisting tactics with Ukraine will back fire. Their miscalculated interference into the political affairs of Ukraine to the dismay of the Ruling govt of Ukraine will close all doors. They will refuse to join EU. Earlier Turkish plans to join EU were also messed up, denying EU and NATO, a vital entry into the Black sea. Russia was swift in its Diplomacy with Ukraine, and knows exactly when and how to lure a targeted ally. and when to arm twist them. Russia on the one hand offered to open its border for the free market access for Ukrainian Produces in Russia, it also was swift to threaten them of dire consequences of sealing its borders and trade with Ukraine, and at the same time, snap its supply of GAS needed for Ukraine, and without that the Ukrainian populace can not survive the severe winter. Russia will do everything to retain its supremacy in the Black sea. and the mineral richies of the region. Military options are also not ruled out, though it will not be needed as Ukraine will officially announce to join the Russian commonwealth. EU may bank upon the popular protests in and around UKraine, but it is expected to be dealt with firmly, and the Russian Army taking over in the streets of Ukraine can not be ruled out. In last 100 years, twice the Ukraine was forcefully annexed by Russia, where as this time, it will be an official will of the democratically elected Government, no matter if the decision will have a popular support or not. Today while EU is still reeling under economic crisis, Russia has scored an edge in terms of prospering economy, and the abundance of natural resources - The Minerals. Today Russian federation and the Russian Commonwealth jointly account for over one third of Mineral richies in the world, and expect even more. If China could improve ties with its adversary of several centuries, the Russians, and signed the worlds largest Petroleum deal in June this year and the Mineral acquisition agreements with Russia in Aug this year, as also the ambitious Railway project with Russia, why is it that the EU is still hanging on to its orthodox cold war tactics with Russia. While the 28 strong member states in EU may have an inbuilt democratic values of agreement to disagree in important matters, Russia, and China scores greater efficiency in decision making.
