#UKSS #Syria Detained by Malaysian authorities and threatened to be deported to Damascus The student (Kawa Abdulaziz Sayid Alo) one of the first young activists called for liberties in Syria is detained since one month in Malaysia and under the risk to be deported to Damascus and handed to Syrian regime there. Kawa is affiliated with the Kurdish Democratic Party and a member of Kurdish Youth Union under the Kurdish National Council KNC. He participated in the Syrian revolution since its beginning with his colleagues implementing youth campaigns and following peaceful methods. Kawa is in the wanted list by the Syrian security apparatus because of his activities in Syria. he left Syria due the concerns to be arrested or killed and to continue his activities from abroad. Upon his arrival one month ago to Malaysia he was arrested by authorities there and still arrested by them up to the date of writing this report. They want to deport him to Damascus and hand him to the Syrian regime to be taken to prison and court. We as the Union of Kurdish Students in Syria-UKSS call on all human rights organizations and especially OHCHR to take their responsibilities and save Kawa Alo from deportation to Damascus. Instead, to give him the choice to be deported to another country or at least to a country where his life will not be under risk.
