U.D.E.C RULES AND REGULATIONS * BEGINNER RULE: Beginners Equitation –If you enter Beginners Equitation, you CANNOT enter any other Equitation Class, however you may enter other ridden or in hand showing classes. You may enter this class for ONE YEAR only. Maybe accompanied by a parent/guardian off lead rein and canter is optional. * BEGINNER RULE: Beginners SJ /WH – If you enter Beginners Show Jumping or Beginners Working Hunter, you CANNOT enter any other class in that ring. You may enter this class for ONE YEAR only. * In any ring, the judge’s decision is final * Hats to be correct BHS Standard (PAS 015 or BSEN1384) * All chinstraps to be fastened when mounted * Correct Attire must be worn at all events * Lead reins MUST BE attached to the noseband at all times whilst on the show ground * All entries must be paid for at the caravan prior to time of entry * M & M / Type classes should be unplaited * Snaffle bits must be worn in all equitation classes unless otherwise stated. Martingales, boots or bandages will not be accepted * Tack for showing classes will be at the judge’s decision * No change of tack between phases in the working hunter is permitted, however boots must be removed after the jumping phase (whips are not classed as tack) * No outside assistance will be tolerated in the show ring * Riders and or their associates are not permitted to alter fences in the ring without being requested for assistance by the judge, steward or course builder * No lunging of horse/ponies on the showground * Any objection must be lodged immediately with a committee member * Foul or abusive language/gestures on the showground will not be tolerated * The committee reserves the right to alter/add to these rules at any time * The committee reserves the right to disqualify any competitor who knowingly contravenes these rules * It is advisable that back protectors are worn when competing Joint male and female toilets can be found in the farmyard near to the A590 entrance and is clearly marked on the door PLEASE NOTE “Riding can be a high risk sport” Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any UDEC event nor any agent, employee or representative accept any liability for any loss, damage to property, accident injury or illness to horses, owners, riders spectators or any other person, how so ever caused.
