(UN)FORTUNATE GAZELLE/CHEETAH ENCOUNTER: I think that CHEETAH and GAZELLE can teach all of us some important ordinary self defense lessons. The fight below was narrated by two different commentators. I also interpreted the (un)fortunate encounter in the park in my commentary below the links. https://youtube/watch?v=vS5GIXmZ9eA https://youtube/watch?v=_4RfQZLGm-E Here is what I think GAZELLE teaches us: 1) GAZELLE is hanging out in the park minding his own business. 2) CHEETAH decides to rush GAZELLE for an easy choke/takedown (as CHEETAH foolishly thinks) 3) GAZELLE doesnt want to fight and in fact has never ever picked a fight with anybody in his whole entire life. GAZELLE runs. [ Escaping is much much much better than fighting. If you can escape, DO IT. ] The key point to remember here is that the act of FIGHTING should always be a FORCED LAST RESORT and absolutely not a FREE FIRST CHOICE. 4) CHEETAH catches GAZELLE and GAZELLE tells CHEETAH to let go, which CHEETAH ignores because for CHEETAH this is not a game but a kill.:( 5) GAZELLE applies a simple strategy. [even though GAZELLE probably already knows that CHEETAH has won 1,000 or more of these fights in this very same park where GAZELLE was hanging out when he fell victim to an unprovoked vicious attack.] GAZELLE stays very calm because there are now multiple CHEETAH attackers. [Never panic in a surprise attack like this even when faced with multiple assailants.] 6) CHEETAH, the cocky submissions specialist wants to execute a variation of a necktie choke that GAZELLE calmly resists by tucking in his chin and bobbing his head violently enough in order to force CHEETAH to release his choke hold and claw grips. 7) GAZELLES STANCE: GAZELLE posts his limbs wide to avoid an easy takedown from any one of his attackers, especially from CHEETAH who would love to see one of the four legs of the GAZELLE stool broken to thereby allow CHEETAH to adjust into the preferred side control position to execute the deadly choke from there. The collective CHEETAHS goal is to break GAZELLES posture. I used this GAZELLE STANCE in GAZELA 4. https://facebook/video.php?v=10153356261413294&set=vb.562513293&type=2&theater 8) GAZELLE isnt having any of CHEETAHS nonsense today. GAZELLE neither wants CHEETAH to achieve side control nor full mount. Both those positions could easily result in a quick mortal choke.:( 9) GAZELLE tucks the chin, posts the legs, uses his locked neck and head to pin CHEETAH [ a head-to-chest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu-style pin that eliminates both breathing space and mobility space for the fighter on the bottom], and VOILA!!!:) CHEETAH releases his choke hold and his claw grips. 10) During the struggle, GAZELLE, who is not naturally a violent dude, pierces CHEETAH with his horns and I am positive that this was done in pure and legitimate SELF DEFENSE to just force CHEETAH to release. 11) Throughout the fight, its only GAZELLE who observes the rule banning biting as he courageously fights his way out of CHEETAHS jaws and claws. 12) When CHEETAH taps out, GAZELLE doesnt pierce CHEETAH repeatedly to kill. GAZELLE just does enough to make CHEETAH release. GAZELLE doesnt want to unnecessarily maim CHEETAH. 13) After the fight, GAZELLE doesnt rub it in by running a victory lap.Furthermore, GAZELLE also does absolutely nothing to the little CHEETAH attackers who jumped on the choke/takedown band wagon at the beginning of the attack. 14) If GAZELLE could GAZELLE would probably respectfully bow to CHEETAH, but CHEETAH was so violent that GAZELLE just wants to go back to the park and eat VEGETARIAN FOOD.
