UN Youth Australia update#4 After a wonderful week in Maliana at the Encouragement House and SOLS24/7 school it was time to move on and check out other parts of this spectacular country. We left Maliana on Sunday and stayed in Same township and spoke with a former Commander of the Timor resistance movement...the delegates were blown away with his stories. Yesterday we travelled along the south coast drinking coconuts and meeting some of the poorest communities in our region...the people were so friendly and welcoming of our visit. We stayed at an orphanage in Viqueque town last night and got to interact with the children and hear about their lives. Today we arrived in Baucau for two nights to visit the locals SOLS24/7.
