UNATU-PRESS RELEASE UNATU RESOLVES TO CONTINUE WITH INDUSTRIAL ACTION: TEACHER LEADERS COUNTRYWIDE TO MEET ON MONDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER 2013 In a meeting of the UNATU National Executive Council on Thursday 19th September 2013; the following has been agreed on regarding the teachers’ industrial action; 1. That the industrial action continues and teachers should remain at home. 2. That all UNATU leaders at Regional and Branch level will convene on Monday 23rd September 2013 for an urgent meeting to discuss the progress and plan of the industrial action. 3. Any other matter will be addressed after this meeting. Meanwhile we call upon parents/ learners to remain calm until this matter is resolved. We call upon Government to come out officially with the proposals they have put to solve this problem.
