UNITED NATION AND NIGERIA ( A CRY FOR HELP ELECTION). Recent the issue of UN electing Nigeria into her security council dominates our local newspapers i then ask, is this an achievement? if yes why did Saudi Arabia just rejected the seat saying the body has failed to achieve its objectives promotion of world peace and security. This is not the first time Nigeria got elected into the united nations-security-council seat as Nigeria had been non-permanent member of UN-security council several times in the past as being security-council member distinguishes Nigeria not differently. Being UN security council member does not rebuild the old good image of Nigeria as non-corruptible nation,does not restore security challenges,does not ensure regular power supply,does not reconstruct our death trap roads,does not modernize our teaching hospitals nor provide employment for our millions of graduates and youth wallowing our streets aimlessly about everyday. UN-security-council is of no consequence to upgrading Nigerian people living a better standard life. i awaits 2015 for retrospect and prospect as well.
