UNLESS YOU ARE MARY POPPINS.... People often get so caught up - TopicsExpress

UNLESS YOU ARE MARY POPPINS.... People often get so caught up in a place of so much perfectionism, that nothing ever actually gets done. This is called Perfection Paralysis. Being practically perfect in every way (as Mary Poppins so wonderfully dubs herself) can be the most self-undermining thing you can do to yourself. Its our egos way of trying to protect us from seeming fearful. Yet we hardly recognize it as such because it is so normal in our everyday life: in schools, in work, in our homes. Its fear of losing approval, a fear of separation, a fear of losing love. If were not perfect.... You want to create something so marvelous (whether its in writing, performing, speaking, communicating, inventing or any other type of creation) where you dont know whether or not to proceed or go back or fix or even try. You want to impress, get approval from, round the applause everyone around you-- whether it be in your immediate circle, academic environment, job environment, career community or even as large as the world!-- that you just give up, or say F* it! Its not going to be good enough anyway so you only partly put your efforts into it. On an ever more daring note, you may consciously or subconsciously want to seem perfect in your everyday life so you choose not to share with others your your struggles your, strifes, you choose not to seek help because others would see it as bad, and so you are crying inside for help. But now close your eyes and imagine yourself at the edge of holding on to perfection and just saying F* it and letting go. Ask yourself Can I let this feeling go? Now, Am I willing to let this feeling go? Do I want to stay here or do I want to be free? Feel it in your body, in your breath, in your heartbeat. How does it feel? Imagine yourself free of doing everything right and just go with what is. You can set yourself free, get unstuck from whatever is holding you back. and make an impact not only in your own life, but in the life of your friends, family, co-workers and even complete strangers. You can see clearly. If you release perfect :) This is why I find it so important to release, let go and just be in the moment and work with where you are, and just saying F* it to perfection paralysis. Get your life started now. It doesnt start with holding yourself back. If you are ready to release perfection paralysis and get in flow with the work and lifestyle you were meant to do now, I have FOUR spots that are going quickly for the YOUR FLOW TO FREEDOM 1:1 coaching program.
