UPDATE - INVESTIGATION OF ALLEGATION AT LARIMER COUNTY JAIL On July 20, 2014, an inmate in the Larimer County Jail alleged that a Correctional Deputy had used excessive force against him while he was being escorted to the booking area for additional processing. A review of the complaint was initiated and the Correctional Deputy was placed on paid administrative leave. After the initial review, the case was turned over to the Larimer County Sheriffs Office Investigations Division and then to the Larimer County District Attorneys Office for a final review. On August 15, 2014, Correctional Deputy Simon Suarez was issued a summons, pending further court date, for C.R.S. 18-8-403(1) Official Oppression, a class 2 misdemeanor.
