UPDATE (1/21/15): Trial begins for cop who shot unarmed citizen 10 times Originally there was no indictment, but due to ongoing pressure from the victim’s family, a trial is now beginning for Officer Randall Kerrick. Officer Kerrick unloaded 10 rounds into Jonathan Ferral. Jonathan Ferral was unarmed. Officer Kerrick has been neither fired nor convicted yet. He remains suspended. During his initial court appearance, Americans could be heard calling him a “racist” and a “murderer,” according to reports. If recent history is any indication, Officer Kerrick will probably keep his job and get away with shooting an innocent man to death.
