UPDATE.....After CT and MRI results and talking to the doctor here are the findings. The mass on his neck is about 1.5 x 1.5 x 2 inches. Not sure if it is wrapped around a nerve or not. It is expanding the C2-3 vertebrae. It is also displacing the jugular sheath vessels forward. I feel more comfortable with the "most likely benign" diagnosis. Right now we are in a holding pattern to see how we are going to progress. Surgery is most likely but still not sure if it will be an ENT, a neurosurgeon, or both. Again thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.
