UPDATE CAMILLA: WARNING, VERY GRAPHIC PHOTOS 10/17/14: Camilla is currently at a bridge of salvage or death. Once under anesthesia the tech began scrubbing the effected areas and her necrotic tissue fell of her bones, literally. We had to make a decision, allow her release via human euthanasia or go all out to try to save her. All of her bone is exposed half way from the bridge of her nose to her skull. Her rescue person, as well as I decided that after all the horrible things she has endured thus far, we just could not end her life. She is being rushed to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialist in Houston for emergency intervention. We do not know which department will be caring for her but most likely she will be triaged in internal med and then once stabilized and a plan in place be transferred to surgery department. There is a good liklehood she will be placed in a hyperbaric chamber immediately. Please send her positive energy. Again, we will be asking for financial assistance for her treatment and recovery.
