UPDATE! From: Leland Grass Another Horse round up today, At west Preston Mesa, Northwest Tuba City, Az. This morning i had phone ring off the hook (cell with 70s ring tone). LEELLAND!!! They doing a Horse round up at our chapter house and the NN horse trailers are there. I was caught off guard cuz maybe I thought the horse roundup was 15 miles futher in another chapter boundary schedule, why this one. So i called the Bodaway Gap Chapter house, Secretary, told me yes the NN horse trailer were here but they are on the way to Tuba City district near Preston Mesa. The only way in to get the bigger size corral near Preston. I said ok. Another call came in , was same person and i said False alarm on your chapter they going to Preston. You see FB people, many of our Dine people are caught up in this mess, We have some people own horse or horses or some dont have horse they are for Roundups. And Some of our people who have horse or horses dont have horse are against roundups. today was a different day for me, this was the very first time i got comforted by a local area land users. I know who you are you going around posting pictures on the Newspaper, im going tell you right now, we dont want any pictures taken around this round up and this is a family and NN matter and you are not invited. We dont want those horses on our lands. Earlier, When i went to Corral, a old man there in his 50 or so, He ask me who i was i express myself in dine and the guy never mention who he was, further discussion, he asked me what i doin here, I said looking after the Holy peoples horses and many of the colts been left behind and mothers taken. This where i rescue them. He went in opposition, the Ranger talk and vegatation and drought. and I said, DUDE! you ever went down to south of Arizona? down south is desert (Dry)and many horses and cattles and wild life surviving there. We have many wind mills and vegetation, and whose not fixing those or even checking up on them. I said You. You are a government and you want to just get rid off the horses for that reason becuz its a drought and no vegetation. Then he asked me, Do you have any clarity on the horses that are round up here, (4 in the corral look like colts and mare) , anything you would like to say to identify the possible problem with them. I ask what problem or clarity, and these horse look healthy and well to do. He said, you dont know nothing. im not here to educate people and your plan of operation for management we dont discuss here, it belongs in larger meeting. These horses are inbreeded. now leave me alone. and have a good day. I said hey guy, I not here to argu with you and im not interfering with your business on the roundup, i asking you the question thet those horses are full grown and thats as far the heights they grow, they smaller. and we are discussing the matter to the people and you will not even say nothing to fellow person who is here for thoughtful and plan out info for a good management. Education you not going step forward with -on your end, But i will see you again. Milton do you have any photo of yesterdays roundup? I would like to see the guy on photo, he also mention Rare Metals roundup and a guy with camara there he said. I think he was caught on camera. lol well, anyways I was there to support another family they are feel protected of their horses when i came to their side. None of their horse was brought in. I left for home- for one reason was they were conducting horse round up with one ATV and famil 6 horseback riders. Later i followed up on the roundup, I been told 6 horses captured and a colt left behind and mother is taken- i guess all this happen when i left.
