UPDATE: I received a voicemail from Chuck Irons this morning, asking about what happened at the DAAC meeting last night. He said Mrs. DeGeorge wanted to send me an email to dispel any rumors. Below is direct context from her email that she wanted me to share. Please know, Im just the messenger on this one. :) From Mrs. DeGeorge: I heard that there was a revival of SBG anger on Facebook last night. I presented to the District Accountability Committee the same presentation that I had for the parent meeting. It was informational only and I wanted to clarify a couple of things as what came out from 1 parent on Facebook was not accurate: 1.I did not, nor have I ever, called parents stupid 2.The input for the survey questions has been collected and forwarded to the survey creators. It will be sent out on or before the 18th of December. 3.Survey results will be complied and publish by January 30th. This information will be used to aid in future decision making. 4.The School Accountability Committee will begin discussion and review of the Innovation plan in January and there will be at least 2 public meetings to discuss the Innovation plan. 5.A roundtable group of a cross section of FHS students will be convened in January to discuss SBG from the student perspective. There will be an application process for this round table and if applicable an independent selection committee (only if the number of applicants is too large). Chuck Irons said FHS will still make a change if thats what the majority of parents want. He also said, that the survey results are promised to be out before open enrollment is over.
