****UPDATE**** I was forwarded this email by Emma from GSPCA earlier...it is an update on one of our poundies in his new home. Its stories like this that make all the endless hours on facebook, in the car driving dogs and the abuse I get worth it. Emma is an angel and works so hard in the sanctuary so a big thanks to her and to Allsorts Dog Rescue for finding Lynx the perfect home. A few pics of him in the pound to jog your memory and two new ones of him as well. Good morning, Ive now had Sam (nee lynx.) for three weeks and I just wanted to say thank you. Im so happy to have had this hairy beast come into my life. I am a matron, living and working with 67 teenage boys and so thought finding the right fit would be extremely difficult- but Sam is truly perfect! For a dog who is so boisterous on his lead, he walks perfectly off lead and to heel around the boarding house, and follows me everywhere. His mornings are spent lounging in his squashy bed in my office, before he stands obediently at the bottom of the stairs (to receive 67 pats and cuddles as the kids head off to school). Then he gets long walks and playtime with my friends dog in the woods and fields. As the kids come home from school Sam watches at the window until he recognises one of ours walking back (quite a feat amongst the hundreds), then he runs to greet them, after that he is continually seen running and playing with the kids or stretched out on his back receiving belly rubs. Evenings are for claiming his spot on the sofa and getting endless cuddles. The kids are obsessed with him, and when one is upset they often ask for a cuddle with Sam. He is exceptionally gentle with them and never jumps up, although does drive them mad by always responding to my calls- apparently Ive ruined many a fun game!
