UPDATE: Im home and showered!! There is NOTHING as good as getting an IV removed, being discharged and having a hot shower in peace in your own surroundings! I will be having labs drawn twice a week, an IV immune globulin therapy once a week for the next 5 weeks and will be monitoring my own glucose and administering insulin by injection five times a day. Ill be followed up by Dr. Mandelbrot in the transplant clinic within the next 10 days on top of the labs and being seen for the IV therapy at the UW hospital in the infusion lab as well. My meds are all turned around so Ill be sorting this out this afternoon. Im on high doses of prednisone (steroids) and added back in the anti-infection pill to prevent thrush and mouth issues while on this regime. Any questions, please ask. Im sure Im missing something! Its a little overwhelming! Thanks for the prayers and Im probably not going to be able to respond to everyone individually.
