UPDATE: Man stabbed in Langford dies from injuries RCMP have confirmed 29 year old Kyle Jansen has succumbed to his injuries after being stabbed in the leg in Langford. Police have a arrested a male in connection. The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) has now taken over the investigation. West Shore RCMP Press Release: On Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 5:15 pm, West Shore RCMP received a report from BC Ambulance Service that they were responding to a victim of a stabbing near Jacklin Road and Station Avenue, Langford BC. West Shore RCMP attended to the scene and located a 29 year old male with a stab wound to his leg. Police can now advise that the victim succumbed to his injuries this morning in hospital and is identified as Kyle JANSEN. On January 15, 2015, at approximately 3:00 am, Victoria Police arrested a male in connection with this stabbing. The 29 year old Victoria male remains in police custody, charges have not yet been laid. Investigators have received information from witnesses that there was a vehicle at the scene described as a late 1990 model, dark blue SUV being driven by a female. Cpl. Kathy Rochlitz, West Shore RCMP spokesperson comments, investigators are continuing to seek information from the public in regards to the late 1990 model, dark blue SUV and the driver. We remain interested in speaking to anyone who may have information about this incident and this vehicle. The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) has now taken over the investigation. The investigation remains active with resources from West Shore RCMP Major Crime Unit, Patrol Officers and Island District Forensic Identification Service assisting.
