UPDATE ON FIRESTONE WATER: Water samples were pulled again Tuesday - TopicsExpress

UPDATE ON FIRESTONE WATER: Water samples were pulled again Tuesday morning and samples sent to the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment. We anticipate results at some point Wednesday and can then provide an update. Thank you for your cooperation and continued adherence to the Firestone Mandatory Water Boil as detailed below. The Town of Firestone is still under a Mandatory Water Boil and Conservation Efforts. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued a boil water advisory on behalf of the Town of Firestone due to the flooding. The Town of Firestone measured low chlorine residuals in the drinking water distribution system on Sept. 14, 2013. This is a precautionary step to protect public health. No contamination has been detected in the drinking water. Residents are advised to not drink tap water without boiling it first. Residents should bring all water to a boil, let it boil for three minutes, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Until further notice, boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food. It is OK to take a shower and wash clothes, but do so with conservation in mind. Your home dishwasher can be used if you use the heated dry option. Bottled water is available at Rocky Mountain Christian Church, 5860 Majestic St. Repairs to the two water lines are being made, but will take some time so please be patient. tinyurl/md9j86b
