UPDATE ON JESS :) Jessalyns surgery went well. The over-active parathyroid was up higher in her neck than they realized, thus the surgery took a bit longer than planned. The surgeon had to take care too due to the mass being intwined against her main blood artery. There are also major nerves and obviously the vocal chords and muscles they have to go through to get to those parathyroids. Its actually pretty amazing what they can do :) Once they got the over-active one out they test it to see her levels...it went from 600 something down to 40 🙀 So they didnt have to take all the glands out. So now she will stay in hospital until they can get her calcium leveled, which should happen pretty quickly since the parathyroids wont be overworking to tell her body to produce too much calcium. She came out of her anesthesia ok, some vomiting, which you can imagine how painful that must be with your throat just being freshly sewn up. Jess of course did well and came out as sweet as she went in :) Shes got an awesome nurse tonight and hubby Davy staying the night by her side :) Im sure she will be stiff and super sore/hurting tomorrow, so please pray now for quick healing and that she will be brave. They checked the baby after surgery and baby is fine too :) We are praising the Lord for his goodness, mercy and peace. Thank you all for your prayers, Jess has mentioned several times how comforted she feels as you are washing her in prayers.
