*****UPDATE ON MONDAYS STORM***** Right guys At this stage it looks as if the worst of the storm will pass to the South of our region, especially with regard to the damaging winds. What we are expecting however is a period of heavy rain during Monday morning. This could lead to some localised flooding. Having said that, it will still become very windy with gusts of up to 60mph, perhaps a little more in exposed areas. These could of course cause some problems for some areas in Yorkshire, but we are not expecting anything as severe as further South. The specifics of exactly what is going to happen are not nailed down at the moment though as the storm is still developing, and forecasts are purely based upon numerical weather forecast charts. Things are likely to change as the storm develops. As we get nearer the time we can monitor the storm in real time and this will allow us to produce a more accurate forecast. We will do are best to keep you posted on any changes over the next 48 hrs and will also be posting links to weather cams in the South of the UK so we can actually see what conditions are like in the most effected areas Oh and just to clear things up this is NOT a hurricane :/ Hope you all have a great weekend and as usual any pictures, videos and general reports on where you live, feel free to post on the page Yorkshire Extreme Weather YEW
