UPDATE: REMEMBER THE VERY SKINNY DOG WE POSTED UP THAT WAS HOGTIED AND LEFT FOR DEAD? TDS readers raised a record breaking $800.00 for her medical care. She ended up going to Marelys Mutts and your funds were transferred to this sister rescue who does such remarkable work. So here are updates and pix for your review and pleasure! OATMEAL UPDATE: Youll remember Oatmeal was hog-tied and bucked over a fence into an enclosed would-be tomb. Her life since then has been the completely opposite of her torture. She has been enveloped by the Skow family, loved like crazy, and is well on her way to normalcy. Her wounds were near bone deep so they have taken some time to heal. Shes been getting wrapped every third day or so an is at the point where we can let the wounds breath. Oatmeal has a new name--DORA-- and I think it fits perfectly. It just fits, and will make even more sense if my brother (and his dog, Diego) adopts her. She has melded into my Dads pack in a perfect way, which ask means that she calls Marley her big brother! Ill have to get some pictures of that. I look forward to sharing Christmas photos of Dora with her foster brothers and my family!
