UPDATE! The doctor just left and there will be no surgery today. It will be two parts due to the extensive spinal injury. Tomorrow will be surgery through the front stomach area to remove the miscellaneous bone fragments and to pull the compressed bones away from the spinal column. Friday will be surgery through her back to conduct a vetebreaectomy of the crushed T12. And..... Drumroll please! They want her to stand and bear weight on Saturday. She will be at the hospital until at least Monday and maybe Tuesday depending on therapy and will either go to a rehab or HOME depending on her progress. Still no more updates yet on the burns but a wound care specialist will check on her later. Again, we cannot thank each of you enough for all of your thoughts and prayers.
