UPDATE: many of you may already know that Peyton was moved out of ICU today into a regular room. The hospital called and said he would be moved to rehab within a few days. We are so thankful! Steve Ashley, associate pastor at bald Mtn, visited with Peyton again today. Steve, we thank you for your faithfulness! Steve called me while driving home and told me a little about his visit with Peyton. When he arrived, Peyton addressed him as pal. I told Steve he must be special because everyone else has been called punkin. Lol Peyton still has not passed the swallow test and still cannot have water. Let me tell ya, he drinks a lot of water, so this is extremely hard on him. He has begged everyone to give him water! He did talk Steve into giving him sponge bob on a stick to wet his mouth. He told Steve how good that was and then proceeded to tell Steve how he had thought about Jesus when he was on the cross and how he thirsted and how they gave him vinegar to drink. He said that he knew The Lord was taking care of him, and I know he is too! Thank you friends for your continued prayers!
