UPDATE of information with websites to assist. I would like everyone to please assist me in getting this information out. Flathead Commissioners in Kalispell, Montana have refused to accept and administer a free money FEMA Mitigation Grant to assist folks who are experiencing a huge slough that is encompassing 10 homes. One of these homes is my cousin Susans. In fact her home has the biggest slough of the 10 homes. This fix would have cost Flathead County NO MONEY as the grant only requires to them to administrate. However, it would have brought over $400,000 into the community in labor for a community that has been in an economic downturn for several years as well as save homes. The commissioners never gave the homeowners a reason for the denial. In fact, the Commissioners have been involved with this grant since its inception, and had taken the homeowners money, they put out a bid for engineers, and yet the denied the grant without a question and refused to discuss it. They are not even responding to the news media for comment. It is very apparent they should not be in office represent the folks of Kalispell/Flathead County. Please sent the commissioners an mail and support Susan and her neighbors in getting this problem resolved ASAP, I have to wonder what these morons are smoking!!! If you dont feel you can send an email to the commissioners PLEASE HELP BY SPREADING THIS AROUND THE NET. Perhaps these elected officials will be embarrassed and change their minds in assisting these homeowners. Thanks So Much. Help prevent an incident as we had here in Washington State.
