UPDATE – TRIP TO HO CHI MINH Right now, the 30 Hydraid Biosand Water Filters are on schedule to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Saturday, the 7th of September. Two from Bridges of Saint Mark will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on the 11th of September to help receive and transport the Water Filters. Here are the things BoSM hopes to accomplish: 1. Meet Father Dong and Sister Thuy Nguyen of Caritas in Ho Chi Minh. 2. Receive the BioSand Water Filters and Transport them to the Rach Suc Mission Church in Can Tho. 3. Instruct our friends at Rach Suc on how to assemble the water filters, how to maintain them, and why it is so important to filter and purify their water. 4. Find a sand and gravel source near the Rach Suc Mission because, in the future, the Water Filters may be sent without the sand and gravel. This means that the water filters can be shipped much cheaper because they will not be as heavy. Using their local sand and gravel would allow BoSM to send 50 water filters at only 450 pounds (204 kilograms) decreasing the shipping cost.
