UPDATED INVITATION: Write/Publish Books On the Filipino Diaspora and/or OFW Experience The deadline for completing a Questionnaire to participate is extended to 11/27/2014. The program will start the first week of December 2014. If you have an interest in writing/publishing paper books and/or e-Books about the Filipino Diaspora and/or OFW Experience, and can meet the following requirements, you are invited to this program: 1) You have a narrative or story to share within the scope of Filipino Diaspora and/or OFW experience. 2) You can complete the book program deliverables on a timely basis. 3) You have the tools, technical knowledge and time to participate in pre-scheduled weekly training and meetings via GoToMeeting. Tools include: properly configured laptop, or desktop, or iPad, or IPhone, or mobile device; high speed connection to the internet The paper books and/or e-books can be a story, a novel, a sarsuela, poetry, drama and others. If you have an interest in promoting, providing funding or logistical support for this program, we have a separate forum for this and we encourage you to let us know. Prior to starting the program, there will be a briefing session and screening of interested parties. This is a one-time opportunity and there are no plans to repeat this program in the future. In earlier book publishing pilots remotely conducted in Los Angeles, California, Philippines and Hongkong, participants with ready manuscripts were able to publish their books within 1 week. Please refer below for examples. There are no charges for the training and mentoring components of this program. However, you will be responsible for paying for the services provided by the internet publishing provider.
