URGENT!! Folks, I am so sorry but I have decided to CANCEL tomorrow mornings open water swim. Water quality is good and wed moved the course today to avoid floating weed. BUT, multiple reliable weather sources predict a Force 5 to 6 gale at swim time in the morning, which, with the prevalent direction and intensity will put significant white horses onto the creek. It is also predicted to rain throughout the session. I have to make a decision tonight as the support staff come in early and I just dont want to risk your safety and the quality of your experience with us My huge apologies to the 70+ folks registered and Ill email every one of you now to let you know. I will of course agonize all night and kick myself if its beautiful in the morning but its decision made. Hurricane Bertha is thankfully well out the way before the Big Charity Swim next Saturday and all is looking set fair in water quality, course and weather so dont worry about that! Sadly yours, Mary
