URGENT: Looking for participants for Our Village in Europe project, which will take place near VATRA DORNEI, ROMANIA (mountainous region) 3 PORTUGUESE (or people of other nationalities traveling from PORTUGAL) !!! You will travel to BUCHAREST and from there we will arrange transport to the location! Project dates are 16 - 26 AUGUST, bu you can arrive 2 days earlier and/or leave 2 days later, to spend in Bucharest on your own expense. Please contact us so we can look together for cheap flights, we have experience in this! You must be between 18 and 30 years old !!! About the project: - 1.1 youth exchange - Youth in Action programme - 100% of accomodation, food, local trips and materials covered!!! - 70% of the travel tickets covered (please consult with us before booking tickets)!!! Its main objectives are: - Encouraging young people towards a better understanding on the poverty matter that affects the rural space and the way in which Europe is dealing with this problem by making appeal to the concept of European Citizenship, its rights and obligations. - Developing the intercultural dialogue between 34 European youngsters from 6 different countries through activities based on non-formal education, which highlight traditional customs of their countries. - Organizing an exhibition with representative photographies taken by participants during the exchange that reflect the Romanian rural life from a foreign perspective, comparing it to their own rural experience. - Organizing a public session for viewing short-movies made by the participants that reflect the Romanian rural life from a foreign perspective, comparing it to their own rural experience. Activities will be based on non-formal education and the methods will focus on debates, in/outdoor games, role-playing, videos, photography, presentations, simulations, brainstorming and cultural nights.
