***URGENT UPDATE** Both the Raritan Marina Striper Shootout and Manhattan Cup have been cancelled and the Manhattan Cup rescheduled for May 30. The Manhattan Cup has established itself as a unique tournament comprised of a lot of elements not just fishing. It serves as an awareness tool, a fundraising vehicle and a way to expose hundreds of people to the world class fishery we have here in the New York metro area. This decision did not come lightly, but after serious consideration and valuable input by concerned captains and anglers the 2014 Manhattan Cup will be RESCHEDULED TO FRIDAY MAY 30th. In the end safety is paramount and it would be foolish to disregard the impeding severe weather forecast by the National Weather Service that is going to affect the entire east coast this Friday.
