Company Secretary/Legal Administrator Provision of support to committees and working parties such as the Board of Directors, Executive Management and Managing Director. Assist in implementing the legal process of the company. Maintenance of the company’s statutory registers or books. Review, advise and implement draft contracts and other legal documents under the direction of staff/legal attorneys and submits same for revision and approval. Establishes and maintains departmental/divisional files including contracts, workers compensation and project administration, prepares periodic and special purpose reports. Performs special projects such as document control including interdepartmental tracking. Dealing with correspondence, collating information and writing reports, ensuring decisions made are communicated to the relevant company stakeholders. Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors. Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment as well as taking appropriate action; in conjunction with Management and company legal attorneys JOB REQUIREMENT: Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years’ significant experience in related position. Effective oral and written communication skills; includes listening. Ability to safeguard confidentiality. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate a wide range of issues and situations. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to perform routine legal research requiring the exercise of Considerable independent judgment. 2. Business Manager Develop and implement budgets, prepare reports for senior management and ensure that all departments comply with company policies. Responsible for driving the effective flow of work between the component parts of the organization, including servicing of the Board and its Committees. Managing the process and contributing to the development of annual plans/reports, budgets and targets. Establishing measurable standards for all office functions such as the timely and appropriate management of enquiries, both professional and administrative. Oversee budgetary management and the production of management accounts as well as financial reports. Manage contracts, tendering arrangements and ongoing relationships with clients. Prepare agendas in conjunction with Chief Executive/Board/ Committee Chairs. Establish and maintain systems and procedures for dealing with complaints and work competence. Work closely with the Chief Executive to monitor the organization’s performance against business objectives and targets. Contribute to the formulation and dissemination of annual plans; monitoring their implementation and make appropriate changes within the areas of responsibilities. Provide supportive and effective leadership management of staff within areas of responsibility. Job Requirement: Minimum of a B.Sc., MBA is an added advantage. Proficiency in speaking French, English and Portuguese, Candidates proficient in English and Portuguese are recommended. Highly numerate with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy in written and financial reports. Good oral and written communication skills with an ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders, both within and outside the industry. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related position. 3. Technical Assistant/Research Assistant Schedule meetings and provide general assistance during presentations. Carry out background research and up to date analysis on energy business in the economy and globally as well as presenting findings to the management. Produce documents, briefing papers and reports and preparing correspondence for the MD/CEO. Organize travel arrangements for the MD. Commissioning work on the MDs behalf. Writing reports, executive summaries and newsletters. Job Requirement: Minimum of B.Sc. in social Sciences Excellent secretarial skills. Technical Ability Strong analytical skill Minimum of 3 years’ experience in related position Great communication and problem solving skill 4. Drilling Manager Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the Drilling Department, includes reviewing, studying and approving drilling operational/engineering programmes. Directs the preparation of and submits the Departments budget for Managements approval, Controls expenditure and ensures that the variances between approved budget and actual expenditure are properly justified. Ensures that all operations have been thoroughly researched, engineered, programmed and implemented in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with the prescribed requirements of the Technical Group. Reviews and approves operational and engineering reports prepared by subordinates such as drilling, well completion, work over, flow test, drill stem test and similar technical summary reports. Provides the technical advice for drilling contractors and consultants and the technical assessment of responses to tenders for drilling services and materials. Supervises and coordinates the preparation of the drilling budget, controls expenditure and justifies variances. Job Requirement: Degree in Petroleum Engineering 20 years’ experience in Drilling Operations and Engineering, including 5 years in a Senior Supervisor capacity. 5.) Rig Manager (Lagos and Port Harcourt) Responsible for all rig-site operations including safety, environmental. Must be fully committed to preventing Accidents and Injuries as well as damage to the environment and shall work in accordance with Seadrill’s Policy and Procedures. Understand the requirements of the Company Management System (to include policies, procedures, and expectations) and ensure they are in place and functioning consistently in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. Ensuring that all rig personnel are trained and certified for their particular jobs according to our Training Matrix, as well as all statutory and client requirements before performing the job. Coordinate any maintenance or repairs that are required during mobilization. Conduct performance reviews with rig crews as per the People Development process. Ensure that routine maintenance is performed on rig equipment as per Company Maintenance System. Job Requirement Computer skills to perform communication, submittal and data maintenance duties as required. Degree in petroleum Engineering. Basic offshore safety training Knowledge about contracts administration Minimum of 10 years’ experience in related position. Knowledge in practical and theoretical aspects of rig repairs/refurbishments. 6.) Human Resource Manager (Lagos and Port Harcourt) Contribute to the preparation of the Company’s business HR strategy to support all levels of the Groups (employees) Operations in Lagos and PH Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions. Manage and drive the Performance Review process, issuing timely reminders and guidance to Staff Partners and managers as appropriate and collate training needs Sustains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes. Establishes and conducts orientation and training programs. Conduct periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions. Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors. Maintains and recommends employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits ; direct and initiate the processing of benefit claims; obtain and evaluate benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs for Group and subsidiaries Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Labor and Union Laws; Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Counsel and discipline employees via planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Job Requirement A university degree Master’s degree in Human Resources and/or Professional Certification in Human Resources will be an added advantage. Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a well-structured organization. Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills Proficiency with applications such as word, Excel and PowerPoint Exceptional interpersonal skills, including: listening, coaching and training. Strong leadership, project management and time management skills. Ability to develop strong relationship and work with all levels of staff, including unskilled worker.
