USA DENIED VISAS TO AGRICULTURE EXPERTS FROM RUSSIA FOR TALK FOR WTO FROM MARCH 3-6 2014 IN WASHINGTON BUT ALLOWED DELEGATION FROM KAZAKHSTAN DUE TO UKRAINE CRISIS The US has banned Russian agriculture delegation from entering the country. Rosselkhoznadzors representatives were to negotiate the veterinary aspects of Kazakhstans accession to WTO. The talks were scheduled for the period between Tuesday and Thursday (March 3-6) in Washington. Less than 24 hours before departure, the US Embassy informed the head of the Russian negotiating group, deputy head of Rosselkhoznadzor Nikolai Vlasov by e-mail and by phone that the Russian experts’ visit was unacceptable, Rosselkhoznadzors press-service reports. Kazakhstan’s delegation didn’t face any visa denial and have already left for Washington. The US has already warned Russia about possible economic isolation, if Russia decides to deploy its troops in the Crimea. The latter proclaimed its independence from the Ukraine, after the oppositional political forces had seized power in the country.
