USA – POLICE STATE MUCH? ARE AMERICANS BEHIND ENEMY LINES? By Today’s Standards, the beating of Rodney King on the streets of LA looks like a random Stop & Frisk I seriously do not know how any rationale human being does not think that we are living in a Police State. On a rather regular or almost daily basis there is yet another incident that looks like a scene out of an invasion into Bin Laden’s hideout in the mountains of Afghanistan; only more often it is to gain entry into someone’s home in a suburban, rural or urban America, with people who look like they are about to or have already crapped themselves at the sight of the firepower they are faced with relative to their screwdrivers and Ginsu Steak Knives in the kitchen. Paramilitarization or armoring local law enforcement with the same equipment used by soldiers in war time, may just be a redeployment of resources but when your local police units look prepared for incursions across enemy lines in the hills of Afghanistan rather than helping a cat out of the tree on Main Street USA, it can be somewhat intimidating, if not unsettling. Police use to always make me feel more safe and secure. Sometimes they still do. There are lots of honorable men and women who still believe that they are here to Serve & Protect our citizens. There are others who pontificate for political gain about how dangerous it is if we dare question, critique or attempt to reform any aspect of law enforcement. NUANCE is something that escapes many of these people. They fail to comprehend or perhaps even contemplate the possibility that you can have promote a safe and secure society and be respectful to those honorably serving within law enforcement and still also legitimately examine processes to refine or reform the criminal justice system. It offends my intelligence when politicians in order to appear to support law and order try to stifle any meaningful displeasure that the public has with regards to those who are empowered to secure the peace and safety in our society. As an American, sometimes you feel perhaps like Owen Wilson, down ‘Behind Enemy Lines’ on the streets of your hometown in Anywhere, USA It really should not be this way. youtube/watch?v=pidKTNCGbkk #PoliceStateUSA #BehindEnemyLines #PoliceState #ChristineQuinn #StopandFrisk #RodneyKing 10 Rules For Flexing Your Rights: youtube/watch?v=s4nQ_mFJV4I
