USD 207 Freedom Walk Sept. 11 Fort Leavenworth Unified School District 207 will conduct a patriotic ceremony and Freedom Walk from 9:45-10:30 a.m. Sept. 11 at Normandy Field, near the Board of Education office on Biddle Boulevard. The walk is to remember those who died at the Pentagon and World Trade Center during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States and to honor all who help maintain freedom. Students on post will walk from their schools to the field where the ceremony will be held. Community members are invited to attend the ceremony and are encouraged to wear red, white and blue.
