Uduaghan’s ‘No Candidate Imposition’ Gets Accolades BY ANDREW OHWOBETEHE THE Delta State Coordinator of Goodluck Support Network 2015 and governorship hopeful in the forthcoming 2015 election, Dr. John Akwara, has hailed the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s declaration recently in a meeting with members of the ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that ‘’no aspirant would be imposed on the people as candidates for the elective offices in the forthcoming local government elections in the state’’. Dr. Akwara, who was speaking with The Pointer in Sapele last week, said that imposition of candidates had always posed a great threat to the nation’s nascent democracy as well as encouraging mediocrity, averred that PDP will win all the council seats in the state and the 2015 gubernatorial elections. He said that Governor Uduaghan, being a man of peace, will also work to ensure that peace reigns by putting in place all machineries towards its realization. He asserted that Delta State is owned by the PDP and that every other party just exists on paper without structures and wondered how such parties could win an election when they don’t even know who their chairman is, saying that ‘’they are still groping in darkness’’. He revealed that PDP will wholly support whoever the party executives bring up for an election without discrimination, adding that Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan is working round the clock to ensure that there is a level playing ground for all politicians to show their might.
