Ugh! Frustrated! The 74 Spider is 0.9 miles from my house, in a storage unit. It needs a headgasket replacement, it limped home on 3 cylinders after our clubs final fall event last October in Michigan. Limping it home through a mile of back-road neighborhood traffic would suck, but itd be over w/in 15 minutes. Except the battery is dead, and its WAY low on coolant. Id hate to fill the coolant for a 15 minute drive, only to drain it to pull the head - but more importantly - I dont know whats going on inside the engine & Id hate to made a bad situation worse. So - work on it in the storage unit? Technically against the rules, but if I run into larger technical issues then the car is REALLY immobilized! ...and I cant get the generator started, so Id have no lights, no power tools, no stereo, no FAN to keep my fat-ass cool. Damn, and this is supposed to be the easy part!!!
