Ugh, I am having the stupidest guilt problem. I posted on Twitter about a local business whose service I have been trying to cancel since September. There has been mistake after mistake on their part (for instance, they charged my credit card for a renewal, rather than cancelling), and when I received my refund cheque last Friday in the wrong amount ($250 short), I decided to publicly post how frustrating and long this process has been (and continues to be). Ive spoken with them twice on the phone since then, and the problem is still not rectified, although I think were on the right track. Why, then, do I feel guilty when their Twitter person responded to me tonight, clearly hurt that I had gone public with my annoyance? OF COURSE I mentioned it publicly. Theyve been sitting on nearly $900 of my money for three months! Sigh. #pathalogicallynicepeopleproblems
