Ugh, when I just watched this video I was immediately reminded of when I was 16 years old and ran away from home.. I slept in the Dunkin Donuts in Frankford for 3 days and nights, living on the generosity of others and coffee and donuts because I was too proud ( or something ) to go home... When I was 24 and pushing my barely 2 year old daughter thru 6 inches of snow at 5 am in the morning to the babysitter so I could work my measly job as a waitress, I remember walking past a very young man standing in the doorway of a warehouse a block from me... I saw him everyday.. I started making a point to leave coffee and donuts or a sandwich after my shift and one day it was unbearably cold so I took my exes coat and winter garb to him, but he wouldnt take it.. I left it there.. On my way home I saw that he was wearing that familiar coat and had a garbage bag next to him ( he sure did look better in that coat than my ex ever did ).. Ive often wondered about this boy/ young man and was reminded of him when I watched this video... Please stop and think about that homeless person on the corner panhandling, you never know what their circumstance were that put them there :)
