Ughhh..!! Could not stop myself from posting this on FB… It doesnt make too much sense without the context and it was one of those you had to be there type deals, but Ill try my best. My Top 5 WTF..!! moments in Seoul –S.Korea :) :) No 1: After currency conversion (from Dollars to WON -Korean currency), I came out of Incheon Airport exit gate to look out for a cab. The moment i stepped out of the airport exit gate, I was like WTF..!! My face, body and hands got numb… literally traumatized, lost all my sensation and could not feel a f***king thing and I mean it. Guess wat?? it was freaking -12C and the freezing wind was gusting at its best – I kept my poker face as hard as I could Best part is, people in South Korea experience more robust versions of the season than, say, people in many other parts of the world with all four distinct seasons No 2: Eventually gathered all my left out courage and finally boarded a taxi with the help of a beautiful lady (Korean who knew English –Bless her).Tired of 12 hrs fliet took a nap in the cab (as it was 1 hr drive to hotel) Sudden jerk woke me up and I was like WTF..!! Was scared to death not seeing driver in the driver seat while the car was in motion FYI Koreans have Left side steering and I failed to recall for a moment that I was in Korea No 3: After reaching my hotel I was totally drained and hungry, went out in search for food (which is decent enuf to eat). Fortunate to find Mc D nearby, hastily rushed to grab a burger but suddenly a thot stuck my mind from nowhere – I have only 10,000 WON notes and m gonna buy just a burger..!! (assuming the price of the burger at the max would not cross 100-200 wons) and if I buy, will they provide me the change????? Which was obviously a typical Indian thinking..lol ;) With no option left I entered Mc D and saw a massive menu board (way diff from Indian menu) hung on the top of the sealing with rates and I was like WTF..!!! Price range of burger starts from 6000 WON and crosses 12000 WON depending on variety Factually Insomniac from the day I saw the board No 4: My First weekend in Seoul. Despite of severe weather condition, me n my friends decided to hang out, (with heavy coats and scarves) so took a metro map and started our expedition. I was blown away from the sight and got panic attack looking at the size and interior of metro stations – ppl, believe me its way bigger and terrific than Bangalore International Airport dumbfound…!! Atlast…. No 5: But this is just painful ..Went out for dinner at a local Indian restaurant with a couple of friends, asked for a menu.. Darn..!! pissed off just by listening to the price of an Old Monk peg– 36$. Dude u must be kidding me. FOR THE GOD SAKE ITS OLD MONK…!!! literally screamed F***K obnoxiously loud in front of the restaurant owner and I was so godamn embarrassed to look at his reaction, while I sit there awkwardly planning my escape, but thought, F**k this..!! its hilarious.. About an hour later we ended up having the cheapest local brand available (15$)..yeap., even guilty after spending so much money which was not worth and can’t get enuf. The pride that flows that you lived through the experience is awesome
