Uhuru Kenyatta + William Ruto should have subjected themselves to - TopicsExpress

Uhuru Kenyatta + William Ruto should have subjected themselves to the taxman instead the token pay cut of 20%. We would have gotten more from them. 20% gives exchequer roughly 200,000/- from each. Too little but they are making big a deal out of it by headlining the pay cut. They want us to be happy and thank them. No! To me they only score on clever politics. Here are my two reasons: a) if you earn 500,000/- you normally give the govt about 200,000/- in form of tax but you never headline it. b) Considering the kick backs, deals, and other form of corruptions in the govt, ( e.g. Railway + Laptop Project) the duo will get back their money plus more in no time. That pay cut is just a Houdini gimmick to fool the stupid public. It doesnt even start filling the hole we are in economically. So what should happen? 1). Let all State officers pay taxes including President and MPs. 2). Govt should put more Kenyans into jobs; so that more pay taxes and govt get more money. 3). Govt should give more money to the Counties. More cash at the Counties will act as economic stimulus. 4). Govt should genuinely wage war on corruption. 5).The duo should extricate themselves from the corruption cartels that put them in power. 6). Stabilize business environment by reassuring the World that we are country is under the ruled of law and not rule of men. Investors love predictability. FDI is surest and economic safe way of more money in the economy. 7). Of course the other austerity measures that UK suggested are good, but as supplementary.
