Ukraine Crisis Media Center: Slovakia Launches Reverse Gas Supply to Ukraine Kyiv, September 3, 2014. Yesterday Ukraine saw first supply of European gas coming through the territory of Slovakia. The maximum volume of such reverse deliveries is estimated at 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The Voyany-Uzhgorod pipeline, which became operational on September 2, will allow for gas transportation from the west to the east of the country. The opening ceremony of the pipeline was attended by Ukrainian and Slovak Prime Ministers Arseniy Yatseniuk and Robert Fico respectively. Read more: bit.ly/WdKt1E
