Unbelievable amount of money our whisky alone is making for Londons coffers. Imagine all those profits were put into our own people and places in Scotland in lieu of tidying up Londons skyline and fancying up her hotels. What a wealthy society we could have here in Scotland just on the back of the taxes from our own national drink. Scotch Whisky makes up for a quarter of all the UKs food & drink exports and Id love to know what Scottish salmons contribution to the exchequer is. A lot of the ordinary Scots have absolutely no idea just how rich a country Scotland really is. Were swimming in wealth. What we need to do is get control of all that wealth and ingratiate it into our society, into our communities all across Scotland. This is something London would never agree to, to allow Scotland to ingratiate her own wealth into her communities. Then theyd have large regions of England asking how they cant do the same. Simple answer is: London wont let them, why? - thats easy - theyre too greedy, they want it all for themselves. London - the city state. Never mind Scotland standing up for itself, its about time England stood up for itself too. They take as much of a using from London than the rest of us do. London take, take, takes from every part of this UK and gives any one of us very little in return which is why you see London with the big fancy skylines built off the back of money that should have been invested back into the areas that made it. It never is, it never was.
