Unbelievably, Pembrokeshire County Council are proposing to close - TopicsExpress

Unbelievably, Pembrokeshire County Council are proposing to close St Davids highly valued secondary school (Ysgol Dewi Sant), meaning pupils will need to travel a 30 mile daily round trip to Fishguard instead. This will be a devastating blow which will impact on the whole community of St Davids and the wider area. The immediate effects will be felt by the local children and staff of the school and their families of course, but also the economy and spirit of the place will suffer and St Davids will never be the same. If you value the very special place that St Davids is, not just as a resident but as a VISITOR or a second home owner too, please help in the campaign to save our school. What can you do? 1. Show your support by signing the e-petition which we understand will be shortly available on the SAVE YDS Facebook page. 2. Write to Pembrokeshire County Council to express your views on why the school should not close: County Hall, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire SA61 1TP 3. And if you can make it, take part in the demonstration this Thursday at 8am outside County Hall. Thank you.
