Unconditional Love...it’s powerful and sometimes not easy to explain. In most cases we love those that blood flows through our veins unconditionally. Not all outsiders understand and at times I don’t even understand. But isn’t it cool when someone arrives in your life and loves you unconditional. I am lucky, I have a many in my life that do. Of course there is Bernie, who just does for some strange reason. In my heart that makes me lucky... But, I am not writing about Bernie at this moment. I am writing about this one very special man who came into life through a love connection on AOL. My Pops (my step dad)! From the day he asked MY permission to marry my mom to today, I know I have been blessed. One could never ask for a better step dad (even at my “older” age)... and despite some of our differences of opinions, he still manages to love me and I him...with no conditions... Pops has gladly (maybe all too gladly...LOL) agreed to give me away at my wedding. He will be part of yet another day, another part of life’s staircase, I am just lucky enough to have such a wonderful man by my side –hoisting me up to the next step. Love you Pops! I will always and forever thank you for letting me carry and feel worthy of the title “daughter” and I thank you for accepting me, this latest task and most of all for just being you.
