Unconvienced: August 20, 2013 at 11:58 am (Quote) If listening to NDR 2013 and getting soft on watching a few drops of crocodile tears can reassure Sinkies that all will be well and good than I think Sinkies deserve to be ravaged in the arses, as has been for the past decade. NDR 2013 clearly steer clear of the most pressing of all issues, the massive and indiscriminate inundation of over two million economic migrants into this tiny red dot. Unquestionably the root cause of all the problems from affordable housing, congestions in public amenities, escalating health care costs, hospital bottlenecks, job insecurity and job losses to these foreign trash (especially PMETs), wage stagnation and all manners of social ills stem from the madness of an influx of foreigners. The relocation of Paya Lebar Air Base to Changi East eventually to free up a large area of about 800 hectares (bigger than Bishan and Ang Mo Kio) for housing and other amenities is clearly an unspoken attempt to fulfill the 6.9 million population number reflected in the unpopular “Population White Paper”. They talked about the 6.9 million as a planning parameter and not a goal after severe backlash from the public and now what are they doing. This is a heinous attempt to significantly alter the demographics of Singapore for want of fresh loyalty votes in order for the PAP to remain in power. What so great about the promise of affordable housing in NDR 2013, when HDB flats on offer shrink by as much as 30% compared to flats bought a decade ago be it 3, 4 or 5 rooms. You will not have the luxury of space because HDB needs the density to house more foreigners and they squeeze us into tiny pigeon holes. Even health care, Medishield Life will be financed through increases in premium drawn from Medisave, it’s still our money. Without job security, well-meaning and decent paying jobs nothing counts. Think hard and deep before it becomes too late to change.
